Los Cabos Nightlife

It is hard not to come to Los Cabos and not experience at least one night out on the town. The majority of the nightlife is centered in down town Cabo San Lucas, with a few notable spots in San Jose del Cabo. Bar hopping is easily done in Cabo San Lucas with the majority of the popular bars and nightclubs located on the main streets of Lazaro Cardenas & Marina Boulevard. There is a bar that will suit every type of personality, from laid-back tee shirt, shorts and sandals to trendy big city, dress code super clubs. Cover charges usually do not apply unless it is a special event or holiday season.

It is completely safe to walk around either city at night. With Police patrolling constantly, it is not recommended to drink in public and be watchful of traffic. Taxis run 24 hours a day and are located in designated areas in close proximity to bars. Please don’t do anything that you would not do back home.

Barómetro. A nice, Miami style restaurant and lounge bar right in the heart of the Cabo San Lucas marina. A good option for those looking for a relaxing place to just have a drink.

Cabo Wabo. Probably one of the most famous club in Cabo San Lucas.Home to Van Halen’s Sammy Hagar. The club works as a restaurant during the day, from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm, and as a nightclub from 7:30 pm to 2:00 am. DJ and Live Music. Perfect if you intend to avoid the younger crowds, as the age range goes from the early thirties to the mid fifties. Located on Plaza Mariachi on Marina Boulevard.

El Squid Roe. Definitely, the most popular club in the city. The music is mostly commercial hip-hop and top 40 hits, with beers $5.00 and up, but you will never have more honest fun than inside this place. 6:00 pm - 4:00 am

Zoo Bar and Dance. Were the animals go to play. The music ranges from hip hop, to club mixes, to whatever gets the crowd moving. Order a bottle and your waiter will mix drinks for you at your table.

Nikki Beach and Passion Lounge. Nikki Beach is the ultimate beach club concept that brings dining, fashion, music and entertainment together to earn, as quoted by the London Observer, the undisputed reputation as being the “The Sexiest Party on Earth”. Here that you will find a unique blend of gorgeous people from all parts of the globe sharing languid afternoons and endless nights. Nikki Beach is world renowned for its surreal beauty and ambiance. It is one of the few places on the planet with champagne & cocktails at noon, accompanied by contemporary European delights & mood enhancing tunes, is a consistent reality. Inside the ME Hotel (by Melia) at Playa el Médano.

Rips Bar. A tiny bar downstairs the Cabo Wabo and next to the Jungle Bar, whose main attractions are the low price of beer and, therefore, the younger crowd that attends it. Inside Plaza Mariachi on Marina Boulevard.

The Giggling Marlin. Have a thrill at one of the oldest places in Cabo, but beware that you may become part of the entertainment. Marina Boulevard and Matamoros, across the street from Plaza Mariachi.

The Jungle Bar. A fun place to hang out and listen to rock and alternative music. Plaza Mariachi, next to the Rips. Ladies’ Night every Saturday. Open from 10:00 am to 4:00 am

The Love Shack. Tiny pub with a pool table and lots of junk hanging from the wall in a road/halfway house style. Especially popular on Wednesday’s Ladies’ Night. Excellent stop before hitting the Squid. Morelos and Niños Héroes street, around the corner from the Squid Roe. Open until 3:00 am

Mambo Café. Caribbean type discotheque with Latin and Salsa music. Cover charge on Thursday to Sunday’s nights. From 9:00 PM till the party ends (around four or five AM). Located on Boulevard Marina next to Costa Real hotel.

The Nowhere Bar. Overpriced, yet trendy, the perfect place to watch and be watched. Inside Plaza Bonita, on the Marina. Ladies’ Night every Tuesday. Opened everyday from 11:00 am till 3:00 am.
